Hi All,
I'm using the Kali Live USB (with persistence) install (version 4.13.0-kali-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.13.10-1kali2 (2017-11-08) x86_64 GNU/Linux) on a toughbook CF-53 (mk1 model).
The Intel 82579LM Network Card is up but does not get a dhcp address from the dhcp server.
The card itself is not faulty since it is working with windows 7 (native installed on the toughbook).
Setting a static ip address is not working (the address is assigned but no communication is possible).
The network is a /17 network : 192.168.0.0/17 (the DHCP server and gateway has ip address 192.168.0.1).
The card is detected correctly and using e1000e kernel driver : lspci -v

The card is up but has no ip address assigned : ifconfig

The DHCP request is sent out over the wire and the gateway reply can be seen on the interface : tcpdump

Any help would be greatly appreciated because I have no clue as to what is going wrong.
Kind regards,
Geeron
