Keyboard not working after update

I noticed my keyboard stopped working after an update and upgrade

This occurred after I ran this commands

# apt-get update
# apt-get upgrade

I used to have a kernel version of Kali Linux 4.3.0-kali-amd64

After update this is what I see as my current Linux version

Kali Linux version : Kali Linux 4.9.0-kali-amd64

Kali architecture : 64bit

No errors messages procured during the upgrade it went just fine after update and upgrade.

Please how do I re-enable my keyboard or get a help please guys ?

Are you sure it's the keyboard, and not a runaway process that may be causing slow input?

Have you ruled out hardware problems?

My buttons works perfect on grub. Even In grub root terminal. But when fully booted.. None functions except my virtual screen keyboard. That started immediately after upgrade and I rebooted. Please help me.. I'm stuck

Problem solved.

This command
#apt-get upgrade

Finally replaced my kernel header of

Kali Linux 4.9.0.kali3-amd64 to

Kali Linux 4.14.0.kali3-amd64

My keys are back and working perfectly now
