w3af gui logs not showing.

I'm using Kali 2018.1 and w3af

w3af - Web Application Attack and Audit FrameworkVersion: 2018.3.5

My logs show up in the console, but they don't show up in the gui. Does anybody know what's going on with w3af? I'm assuming there's some compatibility with the latest version of Kali and w3af. If you can help me troubleshoot this, it would be much appreciated.
