    Problems with touchpad after dist-upgrade

    Hi!

    I am using: Linux kali 4.15.0-kali2-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.15.11-1kali1 (2018-03-21) x86_64 GNU/Linux.
Notebook: HP HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-ba0xx/830F, BIOS F.37 01/26/2018

After dist-upgrade i have an issue with touchpad - right button of touchpad behaves like a left button. It affects touchpad only, cause if i plug a USB mouse - both mouse buttons are working as expected.
It happened after apt-get dist-upgrade, it worked before dist-upgrade and it is working in Live Kali image.

How can i fix it? Help me, please.'

    Here is the xinput output:

I've the same problem. Anyone has any idea?

    Edit:

I found a way to use right click till we know how to fix this bug; try clicking both touchpad buttons at the same time.

Exact same thing here, made an account just to say thanks for the workaround! Never would have thought to click them both lol I hope someone can help us though. I'm very new to linux and learning a lot everyday but can't seem to find anything on this one. I've managed to fix all my problems so far but this one has me stumped. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you guys, but in my case this workaround doesn't work I guess that you have Synaptic touchpad in your notebooks, but i have Elantech, and in my case your solution doesn't work... But thanks anyways!

I also have a problem with the touchpad on latest Kali, the scroll button stopped working.

I have Elantech and it works for me.
Has anyone any idea of what's happening?

Exact same issue here. I'm unfortunately incapable of clicking right and left at the same time, because of hardware capabilities. USB mouse works fine too.
Maybe if we can pinpoint the exact version difference where the problem appears, we can get closer to a solution.

Edit: I found a Fix for my problem on the following link, it's awkward how obvious it is: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1028776/no-secondary-button-right-click-on-touchpad
