Using same adapter, i believe the problem is that the adapter is not switching off/powering down so that i can then enable monitor mode and turn the device back on..
On the last step:
CODE: SELECT ALL EXPAND VIEWairodump-ng wlan0
Which is to see if monitor mode is enabled, the list that is supposed to be produced in the terminal does not populate...
I think the issue is with theCODE: SELECT ALL EXPAND VIEWifconfig wlan0 downcommand, the device seems not to disable itself, as i see in settings, wireless networks remain available to connect to even after this command is entered, thus the card won;t enter monitor mode, as you have to disable it first to accomplish this.
Is my thinking above likely right?
Is there another way to disable the card and put it into monitor mode?
Help would be appreciated, thanks!
