I have tried searching these forums and followed various threads without success. I am running 2018 rolling version of Kali which is fully up to date., I have googled the internet for some form of help but no avail. Within Windows 10 the adapter works fine it shows networks and it connects and just works. When I try this in Kali it just doesnt show any networks. I have tried the below link:

But this didn't work either. It just shows no networks at all, I have setup a USB filter in Virtualbox which is also the latest version with the extensions but still nothing. I have restarted the VM so many times its untrie and installed and uninstalled the drivers and even downloaded a fresh image and tried this and updated it but nothing seems to work.
Any help is greatly appreciated but please note I am new to Linux and Kali so its a very big learning curve for me.
