    Kali Linux Virtualbox .OVA Installation

    Hi all,

Using the Kali Linux Virtualbox .ova file, is it possible to reduce the 'Virtual Size' parameter? By default it is set as 80.00gb and upon importing there is no option to change it.
Due to space constraints I would like to reduce it to around 30gb. I used GParted to shrink the partition, but that leaves ~40gb of unalocated space, which Virtualbox still reports the Virtual Size of 80.00gb.
How did you guys achieve this? Am I required to extract the .ova file and edit the .ovf file?

    Thanks Guys.

There is no need to reduce it. It will not reduce the current storage size.

I know it will not. I was just hoping to constrain the virtual size so that the actual size doesn't reach that.

Just look up how to downsize a disk on Linux in any search engine (ignore it is virtualized)
