KALI new installation problem with graphic card

Hello everyone,

I have a fresh installation of KALI linux. My Desktop computer is not a monster like PC but it is quite fast, since I am an old Cinnamon user (Linux Mint). I have noticed that sometimes (twice per day) it frezes for about 3 seconds. I have also noticed that when graphical effects come up the screen it does not show them as good as it should be, there are some lags while doing the effect. It seems that the KALI does not use my GPU (or something like that). Since I am not an expert (but trying to) can anyone help me out? Thanks... What exactly info shall I post?

Is your kernel up to date (currently 4.17)? If not, apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade and reboot.

If it still persist, look into the logs (/var/log and also the X logs), the might be clues on what is going on.

Kali is based on Debian testing, so in your search result, you may have more chances searching for Debian testing instead of Kali specifically
