I'm visually impaired and use a screen reader with my computer. I'm wanting to install Kali 2018.2 in two separate cases.
Case 1, installation to a USB drive and using persistence to be used portably.
Case 2, installation in to a Vmware workstation 14 vm, in this case win10 is the host OS.
In both cases I'm wondering if any of the following is implemented or doable with boot options or custom iso?
1. Enable audio support (allowing builtin orca screen reader to function)
2. Enable ssh to start at boot, (allowing access from another networked computer and install that way).
I've downloaded the 2018.2 iso.
In the case of the vm I've tried hardware compatibility levels 8 to 14, and audio drivers hdaudio and es1371, and the standard audio configuration in the .vmx file. In non case did booting the iso in the vm enable any audio output. Similarly ssh-ing to this vm was not possible.
The same issues effected the USB install, I used a Debian8 vm to dd the iso to the thumb drive. In booting the thumb drive from the computer in no case is audio working or ssh accessible.
Any help/suggestions appreciated.
