Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
    gnome-flashback : Depends: gnome-flashback-common (= 3.30.0-1) but 3.28.0-1 is to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

Checking for held packages results in - dpkg --get-selections | grep -i held

    - nothing being listed

Not sure where to go from here

If I have a broken install or missing dependencies, I'll run apt install kali-linux-full. That usually resolves the problem.

I'd take a backup before, just to be safe.

thanks, the issue actually resolved itself over time. Think it may have been a "rolling" issue in timing or something
