    WiFi Won't Hold Connection

    Hello There,

    setup: Virtualbox 5.2.22
    Linux kali 4.18.0-kali3-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.18.20-2kali2 (2018-11-30) x86_64 GNU/Linux
    Adapter: Alfa AWUS036ACH

Fresh install, did the apt-get install realtek-rtl88xxau-dkms

    Issues:
I see much less network than if I just plug it in Windows
When I try to connect it either connects for a second then the network disappears or just a message pops up "Activation of network connection failed"

is it a Kali or Vbox issue? The same card works fine on my other computer using native Kali without vbox

    Thanks for all the help!

    Driver is still being developed.

Make sure USB 3.0 is selected for the USB on VBox. And in general the USB passthrough of VBox is kinda crappy. VMware works better and is more stable.

Thank you for getting back to me. So there is no stable solution for VBox?

I have been trying different drivers. This solved the problem on Vbox: https://github.com/gordboy/rtl8812au
I hope I did the right thing using this.
