Boot hangs on Bluetooth: hci0: Unexpected event for opcode x0000

As the title suggests, after a apt-get update && upgrade when trying to boot I now receive

Bluetooth: hci0: Unexpected event for opcode 0x0000

And boot just hangs. This is a dual boot with windows. I booted into windows and disabled the bluetooth hardware and tried again with no luck.

Is this a issue with the new kernels? Anyone have fix.

    Thanks in advance.

apt upgrade will not upgrade the kernel AFAIK. Dist-upgrade or full-upgrade will.
