    Anything in dmesg?

What is the output of 'rfkill list all' (or just 'rfkill')?

    Same problem here

    Hi

I've also been battling with this problem for a while now, initially in ParrotOS but now also in Kali..... under kernel 4.x everything was good, under 5.2 the wifi card isn't working.... I've also tried building Larry's drivers with no success.... The following output is from a fresh install of Kali (i.e. no 3rd party drivers built from GIT etc)....

    DMESG:

    dmesg |grep 8822

So, from what I can see the card isn't initializing correctly on boot (due to firmware?) and us "unclaimed" by the OS yet it has the (correct under 5.2?) new rtwpci realtek driver associated with it as opposed the the old rtl8822be driver I used to see under 4.x Any thoughts/help really welcome Thanks !!

If there are 2 drivers on the system for that card, they may be competing for the card. Does firmware file referenced in dmesg exists in /lib/firmware/rtw88?

I'd say try a weekly ISO to see if it works. If it does, then you don't have to install the driver, just install Kali, then update.

Hi, No rtw88 folder in /lib/firmware - just the usual rtlwifi one (that does contain rtl8822befw.bin) will try a weekly ISO when I get some more time.... Thanks

Have tried the W44 weekly build (latest as far as I can see today) and the card still isn't working..... any other ideas?

    Thanks
