Terminal wont download anything

I just installed Kali last night and my terminal wont update, upgrade, download packages nothing. Ive been online for about 6 hrs now and it seems that youtube and other means have been a dead-end road. Im new to linux so this is a huge learning curve. I have version 2019.3-amd64.

1. What's the full message when you run apt update?
2. What is the content of your /etc/apt/sources.list? If it's empty, you can fix it with https://docs.kali.org/general-use/ka...t-repositories
