Wifite2/reaver (pixie-dust) sometimes works, other time does not work

Situation -- using wifite2 by derv82 or reaver, both pixie-dust attacks, against Keenetic 2, sometimes there is immediate success, othertimes there is no success. Most of the times there is no success at all, nothing happens. But once in a while, in about less than a minute I get both PIN and password.

This is not a wifi card issue, I can guarantee you that. Because I've tried about 12 different cards. It does not matter what card I use. At one point I thought I get it cracking if I set 802.11b on the router and it was cracking nice that day. But then the next day I could not duplicate this success. I honestly don't know what gives, so I need your help on this.

Use it in Airgeddon for some reason it works better.
Use it from command line with either Bully or Reaver works better yet.
From what I've noticed those tools arent exactly top of the line anymore. Where I live three routers out of 55 that I can reach are vulnerable.
If you cant run command line Airgeddon is your best bet. Theres evil twin attacks which work weather or not the victims will fall for them depends on their ignorance.
Overall that's how scripts are sometimes they work sometimes they dont.
They get patched and that's the end of that.

Why are you guys installing wifite it comes installed in kali with all dependencies open a terminal type wifite and it opens.
I cant imagine why you dont have it unless you just downloaded and installed kali without installing the meta packages. That's crazy what your doing.

Or look up the meta packages and pick the one you want.
Make sure to run update and upgrade everything will be in the newest state that's the point so you dont need to go through that monster list that guy posted.
You do know you can just run reaver and bully with of without pixidust from the command line and avoid most of those problems too. It actually works better because you can ise your aircrack-ng suite to associate with the target AP.
You should build your own toolkit and start social engineering or something to that effect use public wifi when you do your thing and you don't need to waste all this time playing with stuff that basically doesn't work anymore. I haven't seen Pixey work in years, I saw this post so out of curiosity I used wifite and selected all 53 networks not one crack. Airgeddon got 3 for some reason without pixidust bully and reaver work better in airgeddon.
Wait till you get to hash cracking that's an exercise in an exercise in futility I mean it can work but all that time just take a few days learn how to build then you just send a message or whatever way you want to get into their computer and they give you all their passwords wifi included.
