    Kali not booting into GUI

After tweaking with my config.txt file, I'm having issues booting into Kali's graphical interface...

When I boot, it stays on the command prompt and asks me to login.
A quick internet search suggested that i type "startx" to bring the GUI back, but that has not worked.

I'm returned with "mktemp: failed to create file via template '/tmp/serverauth.xxxxxxx': read-only file system"

I'm running Kali linux Arm version on a Raspberry Pi 4 , 4GB ram.

is there any way I can get back the GUI without having to re-install the whole OS?
