Hello.I'm trying to use Kali live from a flash drive and it doesn't work.
On the grub menu I choose 'live system' or 'live system with persistence', press 'e' for boot options, and tried the following things:
- Add nouveau/nvidia.modeset=0 to the end of the 'linux' line.
- Change 'quiet splash' to 'nomodeset'
I thought the problem might be the new version of Kali, and tried booting 2019.2 which sometime work (I could boot it successfully once every few reboots). When I do get to the system I install the nvidia drivers but it doesn't help with the booting problem. I also couldn't find the correct file in which I can add the 'nouveau.modeset=0' permanently.
Anyone here with an Nvidia GPU that uses Kali 2019.4? I'd really love some help.
My laptop is Asus UX533F.
