Stuck at GNOME DISPLAY MANAGER

yesterday i updated my kali to the newest version and when i reboot i get stuck at [OK] started GNOME DISPLAY MANAGER
i can go through tty1 and other stuffs but no GUI
need help

Type "Startx" at tty1 or
Try to reinstall lightdm and see if it works.
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get remove lightdm
sudo apt-get install lightdm

it did work i deleted xorg.conf

Hello,
does anybody has another solution to this problem ? I updated my vbox kali to 2020.4 from 2019.4 and to kernel 5.9 amd64 and stucks in screen started gnome disply manager and cannot go to login screen. I googled the issue found some solutions never worked and most of these solutions say that the main problem is gdm and the solution is to use lightdm instead of gdm3 but nothing happens . Also read somewhere theres a bug and this happens .
Also for some dpkg warnings after searching tried to use a script found to solve this but nothing happens 87798.jpg979879874.jpg
