    AWUS036NH - Kali linux 2019.4 installed

Hello my friends! How do you all make this adapter to work on kali linux? I've checked some reviews and people say that this adapter works well and the firmware rt3070 is recommended for kali linux.

But it keeps saying "device isn't ready" when I plug to my notebook. And if I turn on monitor mode and run airodump-ng, it can't find any AP.

The adapter is working pretty well on wifislax.

I've seen similar behavior happen on VMware, with USB 3.0 ports. Switching to 2.0 solved the issue. Try plugging to a USB 2.0 and report back.

It is the same problem with USB 3.0 and USB 2.0.

Set the VM to automatically attach new USB to it, then plug it when the VM has focus.

I'm not using VM, Kali Linux is installed in my notebook. Could this be the problem?

By default VMware workstation pro only enables USB 2, You can change this in "VM > Settings > USB Controller" Select USB compatibility USB 3
