I have followed throughly TIGER's tuto on installing Nvidia drivers in optimus laptops https://forums.kali.org/showthread.p...Optimus-laptop.
It worked just fine (thanks by the way to him and the whole community).
Nevertheless, the login screen is just not there, it's black. You can switch to any of the virtual terminals and they work, but funny thing here is, although you cannot see it, the login screen actualy WORKS.
If you type your login information (username <TAB> password <ENTER> you will log in and the graphical system will start.
I already switched desktop managers, GDM behaving the same way. Tried installing Lightdm, but it didnt work, so uninstalled it.
Also tried several options to fix this, tweaking with GDM config files and such, even tried to make Kali boot straight into text mode (didn't work as well).
I would appreciate ideas on the matter.
