Missing firmware files

I have a hp pavillion and I was missing rtlwifi
and rtl_nic so I made it a wired connection to see if it would be any better. But this black screen constantly comes up, can anyone help. I can not a even get into Kali. The black screen comes up after I have booted into Kali and all it says is Kali login and after the login is typed it asks for password but then it just reloads....

You mean you're unable to login via display manager (GUI)? Try to login via terminal by hitting CTRL-ALT-F3 instead and see if you can get any login prompt.
