Mounting an .dd file for forensics investigation

    Hello

I have a doubt on an assignment I have in regards of redhat image forensics
I'm a beginner in Kali so kindly be as simple as you can.
It is required to add the following image files to the kali os so I can run the investigation on them. But I'm struggling using the command line in linux so is there a simple way to do it in GUI or a simple way to mount these file in kali so I can actually run the investigation on them ?
    I'm using kali linux 2019 4 on vmware ?

Read a bit about losetup and kpartx. And because some images are compressed, you might as well add bzip2/bunzip2, gzip into your reading collections.
