Trying to install Kali 2020.1 on VMware Workstation Pro 15.5.1 using bootable USB (Kali offline Installer).
It fails at the end of "Select and Install Software" phase. It does all default offline 1760 packages download and retrieval but fails at the end. Don't go to GRUB install phase. Obviously there is bug in installer. I am using latest weekly build W06. Seems APT manager related packages are missing in installer.
Note: I was able to install Kali 2020.1 on VMware WS Pro 15.5.1 using weekly build W06 Live release (online) without any issue.
2020.1 builds are not done correctly. Install steps are not in logical order. Till 2019.4 release, I never faced such issues.
