I am encountering the same issue in both the standard and graphical installer with KDE Plasma desktop environment and standard set of tools selected and separate /home, /var and /tmp partitions configured. I?m going to try some different things and see if I can figure it out. Any advice is appreciated.

Hi try don't use the partitioning by kali use entire disk or allocate more space for the partition where mariadb will be installed.
