Hi,
I installed Kali linux 2020.1 from ISO in Hyper V on Windows Server 2012 R2 DataCenter.
The installation was successful but I faced issues as mentioned below:
1) There was a screen which said" Configure package manager - HTTP proxy". I left it blank and after that I got error message that said "Bad Archive mirror Image". Then it showed some URL to select for mirror image and I selected different ones atleast 3 times but each time it came back with same message.
The I selected option to install without mirror image & it gave message that only a basic version of Kali would be installed.
Is this true? If yes how can I rectify things to have full functionality.
How to know which all features are missed & the full list of features?
What is the Archive mirror image & why is it required?
2) After installation it goes directly to the command prompt but doesn't allow me to go to the GUI. What should I do for going to GUI?
3) I am trying to log in as root with password as toor but it is saying wrong password. I read that the default root password is the word in reverse direction.
4) Please provide references of E books & videos for learning Kali from beginning to advanced level.
