do you have Kali installed on a virtual machine or on a pc? whats your output when you do;
sudo iwconfig

Maybe your wlancard isnt supported.
If nothing helps: RasPi has a plug&play wlan card, which is supported. So you can use it even with computers in the wlan which do not have a wlan card on board. Pi's are really cheap. More cheaper as a new keyboard.
