I would like to get know about the Hostname Command on Kali Linux. After realizing some penetration testing on networks with with Airodump-ng, Aircrack-Ng and Aireplay-ng I noticed a change in the output of Hostname -I.
kali@kali:~$ hostname -I: 192.168.0.18 2804:14c:65d0:4629::1009
Before, it would only show 192.168.0.18
I verified if the change would also reflect on my installation of Ubuntu, and surprisingly it did.
What does this change mean? Can it mean spyware? How can I verify if my machine is being monitored in someway by hackers or someoelse? Also is there a way to completely delete all data on a computer to the BIOS level?
