    Wifi Network not working

    Hey everyone i have created a usb with the kali linux latest live version 2020.1 , when i boot the system on my HP laptop i can't connect to the Wi-Fi when i open the wifi section it says "Device not managed" the wired connection works on the other hand.

    If a device is 'not managed by NetworkManager, chances are the device is listed in the Interfaces. Then by definition it will become unmanaged.

    To verify:
    Open /etc/network/interfaces ("nano /etc/network/interfaces" in a terminal). If say your 'wlan0' is mentioned there, it will become 'unmanaged'.

    Remove all references from this file and it will show up in network manager (considering you have networking enabled: on the icon, right-click and make sure 'networking' and 'wifi' are checked.
