I'm a newbie and I am struggling with all the issues on Kali 2020 thought I would switch to this from my previous 2019 big mistake. New to all of this, although I have been in the IT industry for some time. Just running tutorials of retired machines from hack the box, half of the tutorials failed. Impacket apps fail due to python 3.8 bug, Metasploit occasionally bombs out with Ruby errors when trying to perform reverse shells via http.

Just went and installed 2019.4 and I was able to run through most tutorials again with out these crazy errors. Going through basic training maybe will go for OSCP at some point. I have a lot to unlearn so I can get into the redteam mentality.

Maybe wait until 2020. gets burned in a bit and tools stabilize.
