New Alfa AWUS036HNA shows no firmware with Virtual Machine

Just got a brand new AWUS036HNA to replace very old AWUS036H. Right now running a VBox with kali-lunux-2020.1-vbox-amd64.ova file on new ASUS TUF laptop. The USB has Atheros UB91C (0108) filter set and the enabled network adapter is a bridged Atheros AR9271. After boot dmesg -c shows that the firmware failed.

If I can fix this what do I do?

I of course bought the AWUS036HNA since it's on the hardware list.

If you just plugged in that ALFA card, ensure that USB 3.0 is selected in Devices > USB > USB settings .. under the Ports window. You?ll see your card listed with a check mark there, but above that make sure USB 3.0 is selected , as by default when the ALFA card is plugged in it defaults to USB 2.0. Let me know if that worked .
