Outdated Kali on Azure Marketplace

Hi,

I mainly use Kali on Azure (I get a lot of credits) and frequently drop & deploy instances as I need them. The image in the marketplace is Kali-2019.2 Xfce x64 and updating new deploys is beginning to take a long time.

Are there plans to update the image? Anything I can do to help with this? Alternatively, are there any pointers to roll my own Azure Kali image?

I'm also very interested in seeing this image get updated. If the people responsible for this don't have the time nor the inclination then I am more than willing to volunteer to the project to take care of this on a regular basis.
