kali terminal not showing root@kali:~#

I opened kali terminal and it is not showing root@kali:~#. it is blank and does not execute commands. Please I need help ASAP.

same here because am not logged in as root as I am not sure what is the password for the user root

so found on the webpage https://www.offensive-security.com/k...mage-download/((kali-linux-2020.2a-vmware-amd64.7z)) the default is kali/kali
