noticed that in a new install of kali linux in vmware work. pro the menu bar in the terminal window is missing (i.e. right click on the top bar does not have an option for the menu bar).
checked extensions and the application menu slide is on.
ran apt-get update & apt-get upgrade. no errors.
checked repositories & only one currenlty listed:
deb http://http.kali.org/kali kali-rolling main non-free contrib
should note that before i had 3 older repos listed there (i was trying to install some app & was experimenting w/additional repos)
