    Re-install Kali

I've been having problems with Kali so have decided to re-install
I've created the USB and the install comes up.
I want to keep all the data on the HDD if possible; it is backed up, just want to avoid that hassle if possible
What is the best option to choose to install from the initial menu that comes up

    Thanks.

    Hello Larry,

The best thing in this situation maybe to create a partition. Once the partition is created you just need to ensure you have enough space for Kali. The situation should occur that kali would be the first boot option and the other OS's boot option may not be avalible. This means that you only able to access the file on the alternative system by mounting the partition once Kali has been installed. That is if its not encrypted, in which case you need to mount the partition using the recommended method for your encryption type.

Let me know if you need any more help with that.

    Regards

As long you have a seperate /home partition, you're good.

Manual partitioning, look for your existing /home partition, EXT4. DO NOT FORMAT. Mount point /home. Good! Then install as usual.
