I am a career changer and working on learning more about cybersecurity. With that said, my basic take-away is that Linux OS is the preferred OS for cybersecurity professionals.
Silly question (actually not clearly answered anywhere) is: If I purchase (do I need to?) a Linux OS laptop, do I then install Kali Linux "on top of" the installed OS, or is Kali Linux something that runs as a software, similar to Windows 10 and running Microsoft Publisher.
while we are talking laptops, any specific one you recommend?
