I've a doubt regarding update and whether i'll lose my data

I installed kali linux as my default OS and I installed a lot of softwares. Most of them don't have update repo. But I want that if I upgrade to later version of kali will the softwares be there like nvidia-drivers, vscode etc...
Here are the update repo I am having :
Hit:2 http://packages.microsoft.com/repos/vscode stable InRelease
Hit:1 http://wlglam.fsmg.org.nz/kali kali-rolling InRelease
Hit:3 http://repository.spotify.com stable InRelease
Reading package lists... Done


So, I just want to know that if I upgrade my Kali Linux to a later version will I lose all my softwares , gpu drivers and softwares installed ????

Yeah,after upgrading my Kali 2018.2 to Kali 2020.1a, I lost a lot of important things from the computer I used to work
but luckily I was able to recover the data
