I installed Kali into an old Inspiron I have a few days ago using Kali installer in conjunction with rufus to make a bootable USB drive. After the successful install I changed the boot drive back to the native HDD and booted up into the GRUB, however after selecting between the options "Kali GNU/Linux, Advanced Options, or System Setup" it attempts to boot and the screen goes black. No back lighting, no cursor top right, and no interactivity short of rebooting the laptop. I have tried a few things in the grub like downloading graphics drivers using the modset command, I have tried "safe booting" and have gotten no where. I am hoping that some of you may be able to shed some light on the matter.
