When I started Kali this morning, it went into "Virtual Screen 1" mode. While the background image is there, none of my desktop icons appear and the Activities bar is not present. However I can bring up Activities by clicking on the Activities menu item.
How do I get out of "Virtual Screen" mode and back to my normal desktop I see when I log in?
