first off, running kali version 2020.4 off HDD. installed version of tor is 0.4.4.6-1

heres the output of #locate proxychain cmd

i doublechecked /etc/ folder and verified it is not there.

also made sure tor is up to date.

# apt-get install tor

tor is already the newest version (0.4.4.6-1).
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

searched for this issue and cant find any solution or common problem of the .conf file not on the system. anyone know a solution for this?

tried to include all relevant info. let me know if i missed something. thanks
