Hey everyone,
I have Kali running as a VM on VMware Workstation Pro 16. When I am moving the mouse my cursor weirdly flickers and I also can't scroll at all. I have tried recording the flickering with OBS from my host and with Kazam from within Kali but it is not visible.
What I have tried:
- VMware Workstation Player 16 instead of Workstation Pro 16
- Installed it multiple times
- Rebooted
- Used the prebuilt VM image
- Played around with mouse settings in both kali and VMWare (turned gaming mode on and off)
- Googled (a lot)
Something that I have noticed is that there are three mice connected to Kali.
1 USB Mouse and 2 PS/2 Mice. It seems like only one of the two PS/2 mice is needed as I can turn the USB Mouse and PS/2 Mouse off without a problem. Once I turn off the one PS/2 Mouse (which is apparently the real one) though, the cursor stops flickering and I can still move the cursor but my clicks are not registered.
I have never encountered something like this in any of my previous Kali VMs and I am kind of stuck here.
