Kali Linux Desktop xfce4 Resolution Settings Not Saving?

Hey guys,

I've been using custom images to use Kali from Offensive Security here:

When I use it in my virtual box and launch Kali, I change the Display resolution BUT it does not save across a reboot?

It is persistent has it has a hard drive attached to VM.

I'm not sure what i am doing wrong?

It seems its a VirtualBox issue, when you do a reboot the resolution gets changed via scaling or some other mechanism that is done by VirtualBox.

Not sure how to keep it persistent across reboots, but I have identified the cause of issue.
