Apologies if this is bad ettiquette - I created a bug report for this and was hoping that perhaps a post in this forum would serve as a "bump".

Basically running latest Kali, if I leave the machine sit for a couple of days connected to wifi - it will "hold on" to previous IPs. However - these show up nowhere (ex: ip addr show). Something down in the kernel is continuing to respond to these. This causes the "race condition" as detailed in my bug report.
I have not tried this on wired yet, I need to move the machine somewhere that I have a cable drop and I will test that.
