    Alfa AWUS036H Wireless USB Adapter

Has anyone been able to successfully connect to a WPA2 encrypted network using their alfa card yet? I have also posted this on the IRC channel, but going to provide details here as well for further assistance.

I downloaded the 32-bit Kali VM image and opened it up directly in VMware. However, the minute I try connecting to one of the SSIDs at work (with the correct password), it gets to "validating authentication" and then says "connection failed: bad password."

I have tried several suggestions according to help I've received from some people and from some similar threads. However, none of them worked for me as of yet. I am still looking, but wanted to see if anyone else here has gotten theirs to work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Apparently, this guide helped me fix the issue -- http://pc-freak.net/blog/how-to-fix-...rick-merkaaat/

Removing network-manager (apt-get remove network-manager) fixed the issue.
