Hello Everyone,
I messed up my Desktop Environment on VM Machine. I shared a folder from my Windows to my Kali VM, I selected my Desktop to be the place where the file would be saved. Nevertheless, It replaced my whole Desktop Environment with a new one. Inside is only the file I shared. All the previous files and directories I had are gone. I do not know how to revert this. I tried chown, chgrp but it is not working. Any help is much appreciate it. I am attaching a screen shot.
