Question Some issues with latest "apt -update": warning: This system uses merged-usr-via-aliased-dirs

The latest round of updates, both on amd64 and arm64, get me this error message:

    Code:
Preparing to unpack .../dpkg_1.21.7kali1_amd64.deb ...Unpacking dpkg (1.21.7kali1) over (1.21.2kali1) ...
    Setting up dpkg (1.21.7kali1) ...
dpkg: warning: This system uses merged-usr-via-aliased-dirs, going behind dpkg's
dpkg: warning: back, breaking its core assumptions. This can cause silent file
dpkg: warning: overwrites and disappearances, and its general tools misbehavior.
    dpkg: warning: See <https://wiki.debian.org/Teams/Dpkg/FAQ#broken-usrmerge>.
dpkg-db-backup.service is a disabled or a static unit not running, not starting it.
    respectively:

    Code:
Preparing to unpack .../dpkg_1.21.7kali1_arm64.deb ...Unpacking dpkg (1.21.7kali1) over (1.21.2kali1) ...
    Setting up dpkg (1.21.7kali1) ...

The URL indicated in the error message suggests some ways of fixing this, but obviously I'm not going to do this without knowing if I'm going to mess up kali's assumptions in the process...

Should this error be ignored, or what's the proper course of action, here?

After perusing the web some more, it seems this should be ignored:
