    activating VNCServer creates "login loop"

    Hello --

I have a fresh Kali installation on a Pi4 (which is literally amazing, BTW!).

As I was doing the installation/updates etc. I did enable SSH, then VNCServer (sp?case?). After that, the OS went into the 'logon loop' that I understands from time to time.

I tried to follow the instructions for correcting this by getting into the "text shell" -- but am too much of a noob to sort that out.

So -- another install later -- I am completely avoiding the activation of VNCServer , but would like to use that. I am just being once-bitten , twice-shy here.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Is this a common or "unusually unique" to my experience?

Finally, I would prefer to use VNC Viewer (as is used with Raspbian OS) and not have to install another VNC viewer on my PC if at all possible.

I apologize for making this thread about more than one question. But I could use some help here so that I don't have to do 'yet another' installation from scratch.

    Thanks so much!
