Wifi is seen by lsusb but cannot connect to internet

so i've been trying solutions since yesterday. i have a TPLINK-WN822N 300Mbps wireless adapter. it was working fine in windows, still works fine. but not working (green light is not blinking) on linux.

    focus here:
    i write:

    Code:
    lsusb
and i can see it is right there.

i can scan networks around me, even detects my iPhone personal hot spot.

    when i check log messages:

    i constantly get time outs.

could this be related with adapter itself? or should i dig network settings.

    Which chipset is in it?
There were 3 different versions of that adapter..

sounds like a poor driver or incompatible chipset..
