Power options and close lid function

This is my first post so i'm sorry if you have any rules and if any please link so i can read.

So.. I have a dell 1018 though whenever i run at power options i cant find the close lid function, also
there's no use of the gconftool or gsettings for power configs returning a X11 initialization failed error.

gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power lid-close-ac-action blank

Can anyone help on this? I can't change the function to blank or do nothing...

I had some other problems too which if i recall i`ll post them,

gnome-tweak-tool seemed to fix the problem, thank you Snayler.
