Kali Linux Version 2022.2 - Ethernet Networks (disconnected)

Hi guys,

So, first of all I'm new to the forum boards here. I've downloaded Kali Linux Version 2022.2 and I get Ethernet Networks (disconnected).
I will attach a screenshot so you can get a better idea of what I'm referring to.


Has anyone had a smiliar issue by any chance and can tell me how it can be solved?

bare metal install?
VM?

if a VM you need to allow the VM to have access to the network, check VM settings in VM manager

On my case the Ethernet board is detected (e1000e), but can't get an IP address from DHCP. Even with a fixed IP it doesn't work. Maybe is something with the driver.

Appear after apt-get update and upgrade.

Bare Metal installation.

If it was a driver issue it wouldn't show up at all..

Have you ensured network manager is running properly?

sudo systemctl enable NetworkManager

sudo systemctl start NetworkManager


The first command will enable it when starting up on future boots, the second will start it now..

It's working now. Don't really know if it's a driver issue.The fact is I didn't do anything, expect for removing the module and load it again, and also stop and restart the Networkmanager.Studently after a few reboots it worked. Don't know the cause.
