Error with frozen screen

I just recently tried to install git and after all the install I get the following screen? I get this consistently and have tried to look in this forum and via google with no real explanation. Using VMware and Kali. New and learning.

Not sure how to update microcode or reinstall Kali?

Using VMware you dont 'update' the microcode, you can change the VM CPU parameter settings..

Have you actually enabled CPU virtualisation extensions on your host computer? typically its done in the UEFI/BIOS
This is most likely issue..
